The competition entry by engineering firm Miebach and lohrer hochrein landschaftsarchitekten und stadtplaner for the town of Ebermannstadt was awarded 1st prize. In its statement, the jury positively emphasised that the simple and restrained design quotes the previous bridge and pays particular attention to sustainability, durability and reusability in its design and choice of materials.
