Description:

The timber-concrete composite (TCC) system was first used in the bridge construction in Germany for the winter sports center for Biathlon World cup 2012 in the Chiemgau Arena.

The structure was designed and constructed so that it can last a load of the Snowcat 600W with a total weight of 15 tons. Due to the large wheel base and wheel loads of snow groomers especially at the intermediate support there are high forces. Usually, in a such large force distribution, steel plates for corresponding support are required. As a result, very delicate connection details were developed with only few visible bolts that are only used to secure the position during the mounting
