Description:

The curved cable stayed bridge is characterized by the single pin pylon. This pylon supports the beams at two points and forms the appearance of the bridge.
The decking, made of precast concrete elements is placed directly onto the main beam and provides a special feature. This decking is walking area and protection from weathering for the timber construction at the same time. The timber is also laterally protected against rain so no additional cladding is necessary.

This is a good example of timber use in designs with complex geometries. The implementation of this bridge in steel or concrete would involve much larger effort.
