Our service: General inspection according to DIN 1076 for bridge construction
The inspection of the bridge was commissioned within the framwork of the required bridge main test according to DIN 1076 (six-year cycle) to maintain traffic safety. The last main inspection took place at the end of 2009, the last interim inspection in 2012. After 30 years of service life, the overall construction showed numerous damage to almost all assemblies. The extent of the damage appears quite advanced because of the open, unprotected construction. The relatively poor state of the structure corresponds to the expected lifetime of unprotected wooden bridges. We recommend taking appropriate measures of the constructive wood protection for the upcoming replacement in order to achieve a longer service life and a low maintenance effort for the replacement structure.
