The C.A.R.M.E.N. Symposium 2018 took place on 9/10. July in Würzburg. The event was sponsored by the Bavarian ministries of state for "economy, energy and technology" as well as "nutrition agriculture and forestry". On the second day of the event, Frank Miebach gave a lecture on modernity and innovative wooden bridges in the section "Public building with wood". It focused on the benefits of timber construction.
